Third Party Add-Ons and Integrations

Libresoft Librarian and Librarian+ can be integrated with a number of third party products, some require an additional annual fee from us as highlighted below.

Accelerated Reader (AR)

Accelerated Reader (AR for short) is a subscription-based product, the school would need an active subscription with Renaissance Learning before we can integrate. AR aims to improve children’s independent reading. The product includes a scoring system for books (based on difficulty) and comprehension quizzes. The integration will enable the librarian to view AR data on books in their Catalogue. It will also allow AR data to be pulled through (if available) when adding new books.

Arbor (additional subscription required)

Arbor is a school Management Information System (MIS). This allows a school with Arbor to sync directly meaning that the users on the library system will be kept up to date without the need to update the library system via CSV files.

Bromcom (BETA from December 2024) (additional subscription required)

Bromcom is a school Management Information System (MIS). This allows a school with Arbor to sync directly meaning that the users on the library system will be kept up to date without the need to update the library system via CSV files.

Wonde (additional subscription required)

Wonde is a third party product which acts as a link between a school MIS and other software products that might need to use that data. Wonde enables us to offer integration with other MIS systems that we currently don’t link with directly, enabling the system to be kept up to date without the need to update via CSV files.

E-books (Overdrive and Wheelers)

Overdrive and Wheelers provide e-book services. Schools with subscriptions to these companies can integrate their e-book subscription to Libresoft. With this integration, e-books can be viewed but not directly loaned from Libresoft.

School Library Service

We can link a school library site to a School Library Service if they are subscribed. Ideally we would need to know ahead of time which SLS the school are subscribed too as this can cause issues with the migration or setup if we are unaware.

The Schools Catalogue Information Service (SCIS)

Books added to a schools catalogue will pull through all poblicly available information on that book, which can sometimes be limited. SCIS provides accurate and high-quality catalogue information about books, particularly for summaries and keywords. If schools have an SCIS subscription, they can integrate this with their library site. When adding new books, the system brings over SCIS data for those books rather than publicly available information.

Note: SCIS data cannot be retrospectively applied to books already in the Catalogue.
